Shaunagh Stikeman

Shaunagh Stikeman is driven to provide effective and robust legal representation for her clients - both in and out of the courtroom.  Her legal practice includes civil litigation, family law, human rights law, Indigenous law and administrative law.

Shaunagh obtained her BA Honours from McGill University in 2002 and her LL.B. from the University of Victoria in 2006.  She was Called to the Bar in British Columbia in 2009 and in Yukon in 2011.  

Following graduation from law school, Shaunagh continued her legal training through her clerkship with the Justices of the Supreme Court of British Columbia.  She further honed her skills as a litigator for Justice Canada in Vancouver, appearing before the Provincial Court of British Columbia, the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the Federal Court of Canada, and the Tax Court of Canada. 

Since moving to Whitehorse in 2011 and entering private practice, Shaunagh has had the privilege of representing a wide range of clients. She also regularly appears before the Supreme Court of Yukon.  With each client, she focuses on providing in-depth, informed and strategic advice to best realize their goals.  She prides herself in earning the trust of her clients to handle their most important matters. 

Shaunagh is fluently bilingual and the proud parent of three young children.  In her community she has held roles as an active board member with Cross Country Yukon, the Yukon Film Society, Montessori Borealis and the Hillcrest Community Association.  She is an avid runner, skier and cyclist and fundraiser for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
